It's a hive of activity at Potager at the moment - we are getting ready for an installation tomorrow. Alex and Last have been making extra long planters (2.1m x 40 x 40mm), that are perfect for around pools and on roof gardens. And, we are also busy designing a whole range of Christmas gifts.
Dan and I have been sourcing plants as not all our clients are interested in growing veggies and herbs. Today I found a Jasmine creeper that I just love - Pandorea jasminoides - I don't see many of them around in Joburg so I just had to add it to my collection of creepers that we're planting tomorrow. We also bought honeysuckle - yum - the smell alone is ambrosiac and it reminds me of my childhood.
We've also been planting a wide range of unavailable herbs and vegetables like, chervil, cumin, hyssop, strawberry popcorn, spanish black radish and box car willie tomatoes amongst others.
The strawberry pop corn, spanish black radish and ashley cucumbers have been sprouting like mad.
